Unholy Teabaggery in Historical Context - the Story of a Tea Party run amuck.
Here is a chapter from the annuals of Teabaggery circa 1834 involving a Convent, a Catholic Religious facility for women, located within sight of the hallowed ground of Bunker Hill. The Battle of Bunker Hill occurred in 1775 at the onset of the revolutionary war where the American Colonists held off successive attacks from professional British soldiers before withdrawing. How do the two events tie together?
Stories about the convent had been swirling around the community during 1833. These stories depicted the practices and protocols at the convent as being un-American, foriegn and dangerous. By 1834 rumors included a story of a woman being held against her will at the convent. As the summer of 1834 wound down a Mob gathered to loot and burn the facilityto the ground:
